Check whether this is the right operation
The dedicated export rebuilds all pages as images with the selected regions removed. A normal rectangle or whiteout overlay does not provide that removal.
A more useful retry
For a public copy, identify every occurrence of the sensitive detail, including headers and repeated pages. After export, inspect the visible page and extracted text. A single covered region does not address other copies of the information.
Check the result
An ordinary black shape is not redaction. This operation rasterizes all pages and loses searchable text and interactive features. Review region edges, other pages and visible identifying information.
