Extract the PDF pages you need

Open a PDF and enter the pages or ranges you want to extract, such as 1, 3–5.

How it works

  1. Open the source PDF and review its page thumbnails.
  2. Enter the required pages or ranges, for example 1, 3–5. Use the displayed page count to check your selection.
  3. Export the selected pages, reopen the result and confirm that it contains only the pages you need.

Export a new PDF with your chosen pages. Your original file stays on your device.

When to use this tool

Extract one chapter, an invoice or a section of a longer document. Use Organize for visual reordering and deleting pages.

What to check before sharing

Page numbers refer to positions in the file, which may differ from numbers printed on the pages. Extracting pages does not redact sensitive content within a retained page.

Supported files

Extract the pages you need.

Inputs: PDF. Performance depends on your device. Download important work before closing the browser; local storage is not a backup.

Troubleshooting

If the file will not open, check it in another PDF reader. If it is password-protected, use Remove a PDF password with a password you know. For scans that need selectable text, run Make a PDF searchable first.

Common questions

Will the original PDF change?

No. Export creates a separate result. Keep your original as a backup.

Can I remove sensitive text this way?

Only whole excluded pages are omitted. Use Redact for sensitive regions on pages you retain.

Which files can I use?

Supported inputs: PDF. Extract the pages you need.

Is this free?

Core tools require no account or subscription and add no watermark.

Do my documents leave my device?

Document processing runs in your browser. PDF Studio does not upload document files. Explicitly saved drafts and My files remain in this browser until deleted. Read aloud may use network-backed browser voices.
