Add a drawn, typed or uploaded signature
Draw your signature, type your name or upload a signature image, then place it on the PDF.
How it works
- Open the PDF and choose drawing, typing or image upload to create your signature.
- Place the signature on the page and adjust its size. Check the location at your chosen zoom and orientation.
- Export and reopen the PDF to confirm that the signature is on the intended page and does not cover important text.
Adjust placement and size before exporting. This adds a visual signature; it is not certificate-based digital signing.
When to use this tool
Place a visual signature on a document when the recipient accepts this method. Confirm the recipient’s requirements before submitting.
What to check before sharing
A signature image is not certificate-based digital signing or identity verification. Use a transparent image when possible and inspect the output before sharing.
Supported files
A visual signature, without a certificate or identity verification.
Inputs: PDF. Performance depends on your device. Download important work before closing the browser; local storage is not a backup.
Troubleshooting
If the file will not open, check it in another PDF reader. If it is password-protected, use Remove a PDF password with a password you know. For scans that need selectable text, run Make a PDF searchable first.
