Capture a receipt on a flat surface with even lighting, crop the paper edges, correct perspective if needed and arrange several photos before creating the PDF..
Open Scan to PDF →Follow these steps
- Open Scan to PDF on your phone and tap Take a photo. Hold the phone straight above the page, in good light, with the whole page in the frame.
- Take another photo for each page. Reorder or delete pages in the workspace; use Rotate if a photo came out sideways.
- Export the PDF, zoom in to check the smallest writing, then download it.
The document and the intended outcome
Capture a receipt on a flat surface with even lighting, crop the paper edges, correct perspective if needed and arrange several photos before creating the PDF.
Make this example work for your file
For photographed receipts, include the whole receipt and avoid shadows over the totals. Check the original image before conversion; cropping and contrast cannot recover details outside the photo or unreadable glare.
Choose only the settings this case needs
Avoid shadows, glare and fingers over the paper. Use manual crop, straightening or four-corner correction and apply the adjustment before reviewing the resulting page.
When the example needs a different approach
Retake the photo with focus and parallel framing when possible. Perspective correction cannot recover detail that was never captured.
Check the result
Each photo becomes one page. Review manual crop, straightening or four-corner perspective correction before applying; automatic edge detection is not included. Text is not recognized; run Make a PDF searchable afterwards if you need selectable text. Large camera photos can make the PDF big; use Compress PDF if a portal has a size limit.
Keep the original. When this task produces a file, reopen the download in the application where you will use it and inspect the affected pages. An illustration explains the operation; it is not a recorded processing test.
