HTML to PDF: browser print guide

Use your browser’s print preview to save a webpage or trusted HTML file as PDF, then finish it in PDF Studio. A hosted HTML converter is not available here.

How to export

  1. Open the webpage or a trusted HTML file in your browser. Wait for the intended images and fonts to finish loading.
  2. Open Print with Ctrl+P or Cmd+P. Choose Save as PDF where supported and review paper size, orientation, margins and background graphics.
  3. Inspect page breaks in print preview, save and reopen the PDF. Use PDF Studio to remove extra pages or add annotations if needed.

What to check

Print CSS, sticky elements, clipped tables and lazy-loaded images can change output. Links, fonts and background graphics require inspection. A webpage may contact its own servers; local HTML can load remote resources. Do not open untrusted HTML to follow this guide.

Common questions

Does PDF Studio fetch a website URL?

No. This guide uses your browser’s own print workflow. There is no server that fetches or stores the HTML for you.

Why is the printed page different?

Websites can have separate print styles. Check background graphics, margins, orientation and page breaks before saving.
